an update.. again

Caleb looked at the blog and loved the pictures but then said, there isn't much writing! So I thought I would post a little update.

Summer is over. Caleb took the boards and PASSED! We were actually out of town when the results came in the mail. We had some friends checking our mail for us and he sent Caleb a text to let him know that the results were in. We were out to dinner with Caleb's family and his sister and I talked him into having his friend open it! His friend called (instead of texting back) and Caleb thought for sure that meant bad news. He left the restaurant and sat outside to hear the results and his friend told him he passed!! We would have felt really bad if he didn't pass it. From then on, the summer was great and Caleb really got a break. I turned 25, we went to Tucson a few times, went to Colorado, and went to Pinetop.

Kade is funny as ever and is really starting to develop his little sense of humor. He is an excellent crawler and thinks it is hilarious to find me in whatever room I go into. He also has started mimicking things we do. He hasn't figured out how to wave but he gives fives and says "mama" and "dada". He has three teeth and is working really hard on another one on top. It is crazy how much older babies look with top teeth. He is definitely transitioning to the "toddler" stage and I can't believe how fast it has gone! He is still nursing and when I think about stopping in 2 months, I am excited but I am not sure how I will feel when it really comes because when he does something that makes me think I might have to stop sooner (like bite.. ouch!!), I get really sad.

I started a couch to 5k plan that takes 9 weeks to complete. I completed week 5 and got thrown off and now I am 2 weeks behind. Caleb ran with me on a mini-run this morning and I already feel so much better! I am definitely not a runner but I like the feeling of being active. My biggest obstacle is motivation to do it. I am SO much more likely to go if I have someone to go with.

Speaking of that.. I am sad that Caleb isn't around as much, now that school has started, BUT I am so excited! I can't wait to get back into a routine and start seeing all of my friends here more. Playdates, swimming lessons and friend outings.. here we come!

I have a friend getting married in November and I am her Maid of Honor, so I have been busy with that. I am planning her shower, planning a baby shower for another good friend (Aurora) and planning Kade's first birthday party!! It should all be fun and I am not complaining because if I were to be busy doing something I would rather it be with Kade, planning fun things and crafts than anything else.

Next up.. pictures from Pinetop!

You're so good about blogging! Love it! You're my hero for running in this heat. I so need to get back into the exercise world. I've been off the project since Carson. You're so right though... It makes you feel so much better and gives you so much more energy!! Also CONGRATS Caleb!
