kade turns one-- the tucson edition

As usual, I am not on top of blogging but I thought maybe with the new year, I could start fresh and try to stay with it. 

Kade turned 1 in October. We had a pirate-themed birthday party. We had one party in Tucson for his little friends there and one here in Glendale for is little friends here! We had pirate music playing, various pirate themed foods and we had hats and eye patches for our guests.

We did cupcakes instead of a cake.

For party favors, we sent everyone home with some treasure.

He woke up for a nap just in time for the party to start. He was a little nervous at first. (Wouldn't you be if you woke up to a house full of pirates?)

He doesn't look very excited here but he loved all his new toys! My dad even gave him the wagon that he made for my sister and I when we were little.

We all had a great time and we were so glad to see all the friends and family that came. I can't believe he is over 1!
