maternity shoot #2

Can I just say that I have incredibly talented friends? Serioulsy. Every single one of my friends is talented in some way or another! My friend Steph and her boyfriend, Joe came up to take maternity pictures for us. We took them in our back yard, with ants attacking us and with Kade feeling not-so-excited about standing still {can you blame him?!}.. and they still turned out great! There are so many pictures that it is hard for me to pick a few that I like but I will share some. All of these pictures made us so much more excited for family pictures in November with a brand new baby girl to share them with!

 One thing that I really loved was the pictures of just Caleb and I. At first we weren't sure if we would love pictures of just us because then it isn't a "family picture" but after looking back at these pictures and reading a blog post that a close friend posted, I was reminded of how important our relationship is. I actually think that the pictures of just us two are my favorite! They evoke an emotion inside of me that is so strong and sometimes pushed to the side. It is so easy to put my total focus on Kade or the things that we need to get done before this baby girl gets here and forget all about strengthening my marriage. {Don't get me wrong-- Kade is pretty darn entertaining and Caleb and I both share a love for him that is indescribable but without my love for Caleb, those wonderful experiences of parenthood wouldn't even be there.}
I sure do love my boys!

I think this is my favorite out of every picture we took together!

With that being said, I am planning for a baby sitter to come over on Saturday so that we can go to a crepe restaurant Caleb has been wanting to go to. I am excited for our little date! Now someone needs to check with me to make sure we really went and that I didn't talk about the to-do list the whole time. :)
