the big 2-5

I turned 25 in July and for my birthday, we went to Tucson so we could see friends and family. Anyone who knows me, knows that I love birthdays. Not just MY birthday but anyone's! Basically, I love having any reason to celebrate. (Just wait until I post Kade's first birthday party pictures!) I turned 25 this year and all in all, it was a wonderful birthday. It was nice to reminisce about my baptism which was 7 years ago on that day. Where does the time go?!

We went to BJ's with some of my favorite girls to celebrate.

It was so cute to see Rhett and Kade together! Rhett was born a little under 3 months before Kade. His mom is one of my best friends. Naturally, Kade and Rhett are best buds.. even if they don't see each other all the time!

We also went to my sister's work with some of Caleb's family for dinner. It was a great night because this was when Caleb got a phone call telling him that he passed his boards! It was fun to be out with family so we could not only celebrate my birthday but celebrate the great news! I am so proud of Caleb!

We went swimming at my dad's friend's house with my dad, sister and some of my dad's friends. Kade was a hit!

We had a Sunday dinner with Caleb's family and we celebrated mine and his sister's birthdays. It was fun! I love that I have in-laws now so that I have more brothers and sisters to share fun things like this with. When I was little, I always wanted older siblings and now I have them!

This is my grandma and mom. My mom's birthday is a week after mine so we usually do something together to celebrate. We went to lunch at a little cafe.

Kade is eying that dessert. He had to wait until after the family sang happy birthday.. and then I let him try my carrot cake. :)

It's always fun to go out and do things with the grandparents. They are so cute!

When we got back to Glendale, we went to my friend Lindsey's house to celebrate one last time. She is a great cook and baker. This is Kade with his little friend Asher. They are so cute together. Asher is old enough that he knows when Kade is around and can get excited to play with a friend. It has been fun because lately Kade is noticing other kids and he gets excited when he sees them. Kade likes to play with Asher.

Caleb often takes scenery pictures that are really good pictures but they usually don't do anything but sit on the computer. He took a lot of pictures of this sunset while we were in Tucson. It was the perfect end to a great birthday!
