In the passed couple weeks, Kade has changed so much! He really crawls, he talks in his baby talk (yayayaydadadada), he opens and closes doors, he claps, he has decided he doesn't like to snuggle much anymore and he got his very first haircut. (Does it count as his first haircut if we barely cut anything off?? You can barely even see the hair I saved for his baby book!)
Kade's hair was really uneven (really long in back and very short on top-- resembling when he was first born or my grandpa) and it usually lays flat so it hasn't been a problem. However, because it's been so hot, he gets sweaty and ends up with a crazy hairdo. I decided it was time for a haircut.
From the moment Kade heard the clippers, he wasn't quite sure about this haircut idea. This picture cracks me up! The eyebrow, the wide eyes and his hands are so funny! I never knew being a mom would be such fantastic entertainment!
It was sad but I promise there weren't any tears. As soon as we turned off the clippers, he would stop crying. He plays that game pretty well but this time it wasn't going to work.
But once we were done, he had a good time holding the clippers. He seemed relieved that it was over and I was relieved that he didn't have a grandpa haircut anymore. (Okay fine, I will admit that any haircut on him is pretty cute. Even the grandpa cul de sac.)
And he was happy to have a haircut closer to his dad's again. (I am fighting off every joke I want to make about Caleb's hair getting thin here.. I will just let you think of your own!) :)
When we were done, Kade got to take a bath which is one of his favorite things.Look at those cute little teeth!
